The quality of the production is recognized and some deserving purebred representatives Saddle French (Special correspondent) or Anglo-Arab (Fanny de la Tour) shine on the international equestrian scene(stage). The big week of Pompadour is the key event of the breeding in Limousin. She(it) welcomes the elite of the Anglo-Arab race and the finales young horses of three-day event in September.

The equestrian label Limousin is a quality approach of services and welcome guaranteed and checked by an official regional committee. The historic sites of Pompadour, among which Jumenterie and the National Stud farm, contributed to the fame of the breeding Limousin and today in its sports and tourist fame.

Limousin is a part, within Massif Central, within first French pond of production of draft horses (30 % of the births in France). The main met races are the Inhabitant of the Ardennes, the Breton, the native of France-Comté and the Percheron. This extensive breeding is very often complementary of that of the cattle. The draft horse is culturally very anchored in Limousin: the fair in the Horses of Chénerailles shows it.
